Tatiana and Sk are so creative ( okay Tat slightly more than her lil' sis), but anyway Tatiana is always into making and creating things. She is now making Chibi Charms ( chibi is an Asian type of anime) so of course Sydney had to get into the act. So we let her go at it using playdoh (thanks Aunt Amy).

Bikes x2 for Chirstmas
How funny is it that even though our girls are 13 years apart they both got bikes for Christmas. Tatiana has been wanting a beach cruiser forever and Sydney loved using the bikes when she has visited Jenny Hart. So perfect they both got one. The only problem was the rain ALL DAY so the girls had to wait to use them.

Sydney's first "Snow"
This is how we do snow in So. Cal. . . Actually Uncle Juan (who lives in Victorville) has been snowed in for a few days and finally was able to escape and brought this with him. Sydney's first reaction was "cold"... "ball".... "no"
Juan and Tatiana in a snowball fight
we were finally able to convince her to throw a "cold ball" as she called it

Pretties
This is what happens when you leave two teenagers alone with a toddler. Sydney loves her "pretties" aka hair bows & barretts so while I was on the computer she took down her bucket filled with them ( oh yea by the way I just love the fact that she is trying to reach up to pull down everything now ) and went to her sisters room. After a few minutes this is what I found
IVHS Holiday Brunch
This weekend was a very busy one, Saturday was filled with shopping (Sydney & Daddy) while I was out doing my last holiday shoot of the season, and then the Jenny Hart Chirstmas party, which is always hard because the very next day was Grandma's work brunch

Santa Claus
Look who we saw this weekend even through a very crazy busy weekend we were able to squeeze in a visit to Santa. Sydney was very curious about him and the strange clothes he was wearing. She did like his beard though and kept saying "soft...soft"
checking out his buttons
and Santa even brought her a present. An Elmo computer, good now maybe she will stay off mine :) yeah right

Christmas Cookies
What do you get when you combine a baker with 2 self proclaimed kitchen avoiders and a toddler? A flippin' good time that's what!!! Sunday Sydney and I had Grammy and Auntie Leann over for a marathon of cookie baking it was so much fun it was full of laughs, love, and even a few splats :) That was grammy ha ha ... and Auntie Leann discovered a new way to make peanut butter cookie bars, even if it was by accident. All in all it was the best way to spend the start of the holiday season.

Thanksgiving Boo Boo's
What is Thanksgiving without bumps, tears, blood, oh yeah and a trip to the ER. Well that's what happens when you have two rambunctious toddlers and some honkin' wood furniture.
And here is Ryan already one upping her BFF. She climbed up the dining chair and it fell back on her (since she held on all the way down) and they both landed with a thump on to the tile floor. Once untangled she had a pretty nasty cut and went to the ER.... after 4 hours and an x-ray later ( they decided against the cat scan ) they slapped on some liquid bandage and sent her home... and guess what she was already trying to climb that damn chair again.

Thanksgiving Fun
So we packed it up and headed to the AZ for Thanksgiving again this year ( though minus the big girl, she stayed home and had turkey day with grandma then headed to Glamis with her BF and his family. I hate that they grow up and want to leave the nest). Any way we started the day off with a trip to the park before the rain hit and left the men to deal with the turkey. It was a very pretty park which we ended up taking family pics at later in the weekend.
Looks like rain and attitude is on the horizon...
Taking a quick break for a snack
Here are Sydney and Ryan playing on the slide SK is getting to be such a big girl she just walks right up and then down she goes. She doesn't even need mommy's help anymore. Oh they grow up so fast.

Then on to a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. One side note like I said we always leave the men to do the turkey and we take care of the rest. As we left for the park we threw out the reminder "don't forget to get everything out of the bird before you throw it in the oven." and the reply, "we know, we know".... Since I get the pleasure of carving the turkey low and behold what do I find in the bird butt.... a big ol' bag of giblets GROSS, but hey turns out the bird was still pretty tasty.

2nd Job
Okay I know most people would hate to have to get a second job, but I have one or I should say I have actually created one and I absolutely LOVE IT!! Most of you know I am extremely into photography so I actually started a photography business not quite a year ago. It has been a little slow going but I have loved every minute , then what do you know BOOM. With the holiday season fast approaching everyone is ready for family pictures so.... that means I am suddenly booked solid and having an even better time. So I just wanted to share a few of the images I have done the last few weeks... I think they are awesome. If you'd like to see more of my "2nd job" you can visit my site at a almamariaphotography.com

Sisters
Tatiana and Sydney are the best sisters. Here they are playing after dinner one night. Even with the 13 year age gap they truly love one another.

Trick or Treat
The family (minus Tatiana, she was with her boyfriend) went ahead and braved the throngs of ghouls and goblins to try our hand at trick or treating. Sydney K was defiantly up for the challenge. She loves anything to do with holding a purse, and oh my gosh you mean people are actually going to give me things to put in it really this was heaven for her.
Can you see her, already sucking the chocolate out of the Reese's package. Yum just like dad
What a big girl she walked up to the doors by herself saying "tik teet" but once up there all anyone got was a smile and a pumpkin bucket shoved in their face and of course a bye when she was half way down the drive. Oh well good thing she was the cutest ladybug ever.

Carving Time
Yesterday we corralled the family and carved pumpkins. Sydney really enjoyed playing with the seeds and helping put the gunk in the bowl.
