Carving Time

Yesterday we corralled the family and carved pumpkins. Sydney really enjoyed playing with the seeds and helping put the gunk in the bowl.

(nice cleavage shot honey thanks...)

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch and really it was worth the wait. We went to an awesome one this year, it had a petting zoo which surprisingly SK was not very into (it was the flies she does not like them at all) a corn maze and of course PUMPKINS which were all "balls" to SK.here she is checking out a cute baby hen as you can see she is not so sure it's that cute....
this looks like a nice place to take a seat and rest her weary feet

and finally what a way to end the evening in a big vat of corn!!!

Brag, Brag, Brag

Okay I know this is mostly Sydney's blog but I am trying to change it up a bit and make it more of a "family" blog. So that being said I just have to brag about my "big" girl Tatiana. She is just so damn beautiful. I always tease that she is the pretty version of me but in all honesty I don't think I could have ever been as beautiful. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty darn special, but this girl is a knockout and that's not all she is so smart (all A's and a B on the last report card), and super talented she can draw like no else. She is also so good at everything she puts her mind to like dance and more recently soccer. All in all I may complain about "my teenager" but she really is a good kid with a wonderful heart. But I would enjoy a clean room from her from time to time :)

This is a sketch that she did because she was bored. Incredible I tell you.

Girl's Night In

I had such a blast this weekend. My family vacated the house so that I could host a "Girls Night In" .  It was filled with yummy nibbles and delish drinks not to mention a ton of laughs (my sides still hurt).  Thank you to all who came to join the party.  You Girls Rock!!!

Finally Family

Last but certainly not least here are the family pictures. We had such a blast and Sydney is such a good traveler now that I can't wait to go back. This is about the only picture we have of her actually looking at me, most of them were of the back of her head as there was always something more interesting to look at.
Playing with the family. Sydney is a very well rounded girl not only does she love shopping and shoes, she also loves her cars and tools.

A few family shots (see SK side head shot) any way aren't we just the cutest family. Okay I am biased. But we are

Destination Beautiful

This is the view from the steps outside our bedroom. We were greeted every morning by a beautiful sunrise, and even though the weather was a bit cool it was wonderfully sunny, and a gorgeous view.
Then once you are fully awake you can take a walk pass the pool into the garden just up the stairs and meander through tons of lilac, roses, all types of fruit trees, and of course the succulents.
Then this is the view of the house on your way back down I really can't say it enough, beautiful.

Just a few fun details. What do you expect from a photographer.

and finally this is the cabana/outside kitchen complete with sub zero fridge, BBQ, dishwasher the works. We had most of our meals here do to the lovely weather, why would you not.

Next up actual pictures of the family..

"Snow" Much Fun

The whole family (and then some) went to Santa Barbara for a fun and relaxing weekend, to celebrate Steve and his younger brother Jacob's birthdays. We stayed at the Snow's . Which is Tina ( Steve Sr.'s girlfriend) parents home. It is a beautiful Mexican style hacienda hidden in the hills of Santa Barbara which is beyond description. They were so nice and welcoming and never batted an eye as 4 adults, 3 teenagers, 1 kid, and a toddler invaded their home. Thank you so much, MB and Tom for having us.
So now settle in this is going to be a long post. I may even have to break it up into a couple, but you know you love it :)

Here is most of the gang that we brought up. Steve's brothers, Justin, Jacob, and Tristan. Then of course Tatiana and Sydney. There were so many of us we had to rent a mini van to get us all up there. Okay on a side note I swore I would NEVER get a mini van or have enough kids to need one, but let me just tell you that thing drove like a dream and OMG there was so much room even fully loaded with 7 of us and all of our bags. Dare I say my next car might just be *GASP* a mini van

When we arrived Tom had made us the most delish pasta. As you can see Syd loved it so much that a fork was completely unnecessary.

This is MB and Tom our wonderful hosts. Tom is actually a songwriter and has written some very cool tunes that you may know like, He's So Shy, Chances Are, Dreaming of You, and After All, just to name a few.

Okay I know totally cheesey but I just had to snap a picture of his Emmy. He won for the music to Fame L.A. Really can you blame me how cool is this!!

Mad Scientist

Is this a mad little scientist or what.. wait no it's our little princess Sk. While exploring Grammy's obviously not so hidden treasures trove of wonderful and exciting thingy-ma-bob's she came across these Build-a-Bear glasses or as she calls them "eyes".Okay here we go this is where they go, but really they were pretty cute the other way :)

Favorites

Sydney is a very busy little girl. Here she is at her Grammy's doing some of her favorite things...

Gardening...

Talking on the phone....

playing in her sandbox with her UB (yes they got her, her very own sandbox )

and of course trying on UB's boots.

Like I said a very busy girl I'm not sure how Grammy keeps up some times.
